PINA COLADA
This is what I’m drinking this weekend. As a general rule, I don’t drink during the week, but on the weekends, we enjoy mixing up something cool, refreshing and enjoyable. The pina colada mix that I bought was very thick; too thick for my taste. So, I dug through my pantry and found some coconut water. That’s exactly what this drink needed. 2 shots rum 2 shots pina colada mix 1/2 cup coconut…

Today is a kind of special day for me. Pretty much half good and half bad. Let me tell you why today is like that. See, I was going through a very tough time around a year ago. I was single around the time, and weeks before this day last year, I was hanging with this guy I was interested in for about a month. Sadly to say, there was alcohol involved. Around the time, I would drink alcohol on occasion so I was okay with it. After I realized that this guy was a complete jackass and a waste of time, I drank more than I should of. On March 31st 2012, my friend from Ohio came to visit, she is like a big party animal. I was living in a dorm with my bestfriend at the time and both of us were excited to see her. Besides from hanging out with her, I was excited that alcohol was going to be involved. We were planning to have a few shots of vodka and then go to a club and get more drunk later in the night. We started drinking around 9:00pm. The alcohol we bought was Burnettes and if you know vodka, that will get you fucked up easily. I didn't care around that time. I drank one.. two.. three shots. Right then my friends started to get tipsy. Four.. five.. six.. I was completely fine. My friends were starting to get drunk. So drunk that they were starting to eat shirt hangers. (lol). Seven.. eight.. Still fine. I wanted to get drunk so badly, so I picked up the bottle and took three chugs of alcohol. Usually a chug equals to a shot. So all together I had twelve shots of vodka. I start to get tipsy. Then I decided to go on twitter and start typing a bunch of shit. This is around 11:30pm. Then my friend from Ohio mentions the club so I got up my chair and we left my dorm room. Then everything went blank. I wake up in the hospital, with a bunch of EKG things all over my body. I had my first hangover and also there was a bump on my head, which made the pain in my head so much worse. My roommate was there next to me, she told me I stayed the night in the hospital because I got so drunk, I kept flipping on to the bushes at my campus, screaming a bunch of random things, and kept falling down. A couple of RAs tried to help get me in my dorm room, but I was too much to handle them. So they decided to call the University Police. They carried me to the lobby of my dorm building and placed me in the elevator. That was then I passed out and hit my head on the wall (The walls are metal). Then they called 911 and took me to the hospital. I don't remember ANY of that night after I left my dorm room. I was so close to had alcohol poisoning, I could've died. I got in trouble with my college for drinking under 21 and drinking in the dorms so I had to do community service, which I didn't mind to do. After that, I realized that I don't want to go through this again. I don't want alcohol to be my escape. That's then right there on April 1st 2012, I decided to stop drinking alcohol. And I can proudly say that I haven't drank alcohol for a YEAR. So let this be a lesson to all you people, if you want to drink alcohol, don't let this be your escape when there are bad things going on in your life. Please drink responsible.
