Which edition of D&D did you play?
Whatgot me into it in the first place was playing Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. Itwas like the UK equivalent of D&D, run by Games Workshop. They shiftedtheir focus onto Warhammer 40K and more tabletop battles rather than beingstory-led, the way that WFR was. So that left the gap for D&D to come in.Of course, at that time people had also started to move away from D&D,which was a shame. But now there has been a revival, perhaps in part fueled bya “hey, why did we give this up? Because we were afraid of being nerds? Well,we are nerds! And we should embrace that fact and not be dissuaded fromenjoying the things we love!” and maybe a little bit to do with the fact thatit was in Stranger Things.
Sofive years ago I bought this game called ‘Drinking Quest’, which is basically acard-based D&D game, but around drinking. It suited me because the only wayI could get some of my friends to play it was to make it entertaining and alsoto get it played around drinks, haha. So far it’s worked!
ButI’ve bought the 5th edition D&D set recently and I’m trying toget them involved in the same way… to wean them off the drinking quest and ontoproper D&D. The only issue is that that would make me the GM, which I’mfine with… but I’d also like to be involved as a character sometimes. So we’llsee how that goes in the future.
Thank you to all the people who caught our Stream last night, playing the Tabletop Game, Drinking Quest.
Visit us again on Nov. 25, as we delve into what could be argued as, the Grandfather of Horror, Amnesia, on PS4.

She donated to the Kickstarter because it involved playing a game and drinking beer, two of her favorite things. After that, I reached out to Jason Anarchy, it’s creator and we set up an interview which you can read HERE. He also sent us over the Drinking Quest comic which we reviewed HERE.
