#Repost @glimmerofhop ・・・ Is it terrible that I got more dressed up for this Rosé de Gambrinus than I did for Valentine's Day last week? I often dress up to match the label art on my beers and am open to a lot of crazy ideas, but in this case, I thought it would be best if I remained a little more "clothes-minded". 😆 Sorry you guys... you know I can't resist terrible puns!! Funny story... Playboy actually did a feature on this label art back in 1998 (titled "Frocking Around", which I appreciate so very much). When Brasserie Cantillon began exporting their beer to the United States in 1990, the original label (shown here) was deemed unsuitable. The art, which depicts the mythical King Gambrinus (the "patron saint of beer") with a naked woman on his lap, was modified so the woman was clothed in a blue dress. We eventually got back our naked lady though. 😂 This bottle of Cantillon raspberry lambic was pretty special. I loved the dry delivery of the raspberry flavor up front and the beautifully balanced tartness that followed. It was somehow clean and complex at the same time. The perfect afternoon indulgence. @beer.brat I'm dedicating this photo to you!! 💕🌸 Even though the color is closer to a ruby red than a vibrant pink, I hope it's pink-ish enough to #drinklikeabrat. 😘 https://www.instagram.com/p/CLmi_5JrsDA/?igshid=gkhxcgg1cdee
