Today’s Backstory: Drizzling Rain

Drizzling Rain is one of Smoke Cloud and Kasota’s twins, along with his sister Drifting Snow. They look almost exactly alike, except for the flecks of white on Drift’s fur that is the reason behind her name. He is very close with his twin sister, the two of them almost always around the other, along with their mates, Swift Snow and Fallen Pine.

Drizzling Rain and his mate Swift Snow have three pups as of yet: Mockingbird Wing, Cloud Leap, and Gray Skies. Drizzle is very close with his daughters, spending a lot of time training them in hunting, fighting, and scouting, so they’re prepared for almost every role the pack has.

Now I really can barely tell them apart, XD.

Really I can only tell by the fact that Drifting Snow has a dappled muzzle, while Drizzling Rain doesn’t.

But, my pretty babies! I love them both!

Wolf #17: Swift Creek

Oh, one of my favorite wolves, along with her brother, Snowswept Stone.

Swift and Stone are the pups of Daka, Abaise’s cousin (in lore). Their father is a lone wolf.

Swift Creek is one of the pack’s pupsitters, having became a pupsitter to watch her own pups when they were born, as there were several litters in the pack.

Her two sons Mahetuya and Kasota both have mates, though only Kasota has pups at this time. Swift Creek absolutely adores her grandpups Drizzling Rain and Drifting Snow, and is constantly spending time with them and their mother, Smoke Cloud.

Swift Creek is a very maternal wolf, and can be a bit overbearing to her pups and grandpups at times, as she can be rather overprotective for no reason. They all know it’s out of love, but Mahetuya is about the only one who will tell her to back off a bit when she’s being too smothering. Kasota is just too nice to tell his mother off at all.

Day 7: Sugar

They weaned today, so I figured it was time to share the twins, who are some of my favorite pups rn.

Drizzling Rain (Drizzle), and Drifting Snow (Drift)!

They have almost exactly the same markings at about the same opacities, so other than the fact that Drizzle has Ashen base and Drift has Snow, they look almost exactly the same, and even those base differences don’t stop me from getting confused as to who I’m looking at sometimes XD

But they’re my first pair bond babies! They are Smoke Cloud and Kasota’s pups, and as such, as distantly related to Abaise in lore (their great-grandmother is Daka, Abaise’s cousin).

I just absolutely love them to death.
