A Star Wars droidfic prompt starring C-3PO and R2-D2, a 50 First Dates AU, aka a memory loss trope. As we all know, Artoo has never had his memory wiped, but Threepio has at least twice, and Clone Wars canon has mentioned multiple times that most droid owners wipe their droids frequently. So I want to see Artoo and Threepio’s relationship (counterpart-ship?) after multiple wipes of Threepio, and how the rebuild it each time. They could be romantic partners, a QPR (optimal), or friends, but whatever it is, they’re each others’ counterparts.
