Before The Beginning. After The War. In the Garden of Eden. Aziraphale introduces himself to Crawley/Crowley three different times. We also see at the end of the saga as we know it that God "dissolves" everyone and every thing, including Aziraphale and Crowley. So... How many times has this already happened? Is THAT the implication here? Does Season 2 take place in an entirely different universe with an entirely different Aziraphale and Crowley than we knew in Season 1? They make absolutely no mention of ANY of the events from S1 in S2. So for the A and C we know in S2, did the events for S1 happen to them at all? And same for Season 3? If the Book of Life can make entire beings never have existed, can it implant memories that never happened into someone?

Back when S2 had just come out, there was so much talk about how every little detail was intentional. The name of the color of the paint in Aziraphale's book shop? Intentional. The number of the color of Crowley's hair dye (666)? Intentional. All the tarot imagery in the magic shop? Intentional.

YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS. Either everything means something and nothing is a mistake, or... Not. And all we've done is watch a perverse, religion-oriented version of 50 First Dates.
