I got these beautiful handmade ceramic components for a pendant a while ago from an etsy shop (https://www.etsy.com/shop/zolanna), and finally decided to use them to make a necklace for my sister's birthday.
My pictures are shit, but heh ^^; The chain is silver plated, as are some of the findings, but the wire-wrapping is just normal silver-colored metal. It's the only and pretty basic wrapping I can do, and I needed a wire sturdy enough, so it was a little bit too thick for me to finish the drops wrapping the way I'm used to, but I think i managed to make it so it's not going to stick out and sting the wearer (it is secure enough, tho. I just don't like to have the end not being hidden and I couldn't entirely do that with that wire).
The drops are glass czeck beads and there are also some small drop beads and some crystals, but the other main elements are reconstituted turquoise beads (probably fake, but I just like how they look and it seems to be glass, not plastic, judging by the really hard and cold texture, so I'm happy with it. I'm always happy using glass elements.)
I usually try to use as little as possible metal components when I make stuff (tho I don't dislike those per se), but I wanted it to be really sturdy since it's a present and my sister likes silver. But now that I've made this, I actually have plenty of other components I got for myself but never mounted correctly like this, believing I wouldn't like it… but I actually do. So this may act like a proof of concept for me making myself some more pendants xD (finally, because I've collected quite a bit of glass-ceramic elements over the years. They are so pretty !) I've sent it, i hope it arrives safely (and that she likes it)
