when zevran finally confesses to Drora they’ve already accepted their own feels for a while but is equally as emotionally constipated as Zev in very similar ways so she was genuinely very mad at him over the whole earring thing.

and a lot of this stemmed from childishness and self centered/entitled ideas, their inability to understand Zev and his trauma as equal to theirs. all they’ve ever known is mages and their pain and he struggles to empathize fully with these issues that he can’t fully understand immediately, he’s spent so many years of his life in a tower, isolated from the outside world that he struggles to relate and feel comfortable with anyone for a while (never fully stops tbf)

the most tragic part of zevran and droras split is that she was tginking of him still for YEARS and spent most of that time angry and bitter towards him. but when the calling starts to come for her that hate fades into understanding.

They spent years running from the calling and because of this cannot face the deep roads, instead hiring him anonymously for the job. the last time they see one another is sad and tragic and so full of love still, they share a bottle of wine, dance together like they did when they were young. at the end he drinks the poison he’s had hidden for when his calling comes, they lay in bed, Zevran holding her one last time as she slips away.

i think the only way Kaya would’ve allied with the gray wardens after adamant is if hawke was left behind instead of Loghain, but i just don’t see Loghain allowing Hawke to stay behind regardless of how much it hurt Drora (TRUST she immediately took her ass to skyhold to confront the inquisitor about what happened and to find a way to enter the fade themselves)

Originally from Oralis, they were born to an apostate mother and spent the first 12 years of her life in the alienage of Val Royeaux before Drora and their mother were eventually discovered and taken to separate circles.

At 14 years old she was transferred to Kinloch hold. They hardly spoke their first 4 months there, spending most of her time studying alone or reading amongst the tranquil.

Jowan being only 2 years older than Drora took it upon himself to protect them, taking responsibility for mistakes that often resulted in punishment and isolation, or acting out when he saw Templars paying “too much” attention to her. As the years went on and they became one of Irwin’s star pupils this dicotomy shifted as Drora tried to help him with his studies and took the blame when his experimental spells went awry.

As their magical talent grew she became self assured and often overly confident individual. Many would describe Him as intelligent and quick-witted, while in the same breath lamenting her lack of reflection and air of entitlement.
