I'm absolutely of the view that they don't bring anything positive to fandoms. I really don't. I know that there is, obviously, the 'nice' confessions, like someone saying they find a particular character inspiring to them, but it's never those posts that get circulated around. It's always, always, the trollish posts that are clearly made just to get a reaction.

Right? It's always, always the ladies loving ladies ship. It's never 'well, gosh, wouldn't it be super if Usagi and Mamoru were just friends, or Utena and Touga' etc.

Okay! Here’s your number! Set about 15 years after the manga ends. 

#20: A Confession 

“Syaoran, I’m pregnant.” she says as she walks into their bedroom. 

“….what!? When did-” he begins, before she gently taps his shoulder and turns towards him. 

“I found out right before I got here. I wanted you to be the first person I told.” she answers, as his face turns red and he begins to stammer something out to a pink teddy bear that’s sitting on the floor. 

You’re going to be fine. Everything’s going to be alright, and we’re going to have a great life ahead of us with our kid. 

“What do you want to name them?” she asks, as he stops stammering at the bear and looks up at her. 

“I’ve always liked the name Tsubasa.” he answers. 

That’s a really pretty name with a pretty meaning too. 

“So, Tsubasa Li, then?” she asks, and he’s smiling as he begins to hug her.

I like the DaviMako AU because I'm a goober that likes fluffy romance. DaviMako makes sense to me though! Makopi was pretty attached to the Princess, and after losing her I can see her gravitating to someone else who could fill that kind of mentor/master role for her, like Davi or Mana. Plus the height difference is cute.

I don’t even know why I gravitated toward this pairing, as opposed to other popular ships like ManaMako or MakoRitsu. By all means it’s technically an odd ship, and I tend to go toward the ones that are more obvious than this one. When I first saw the show, I did very much see ManaMako (though more on Mana’s side but Mako has some moments in return as well) and MakoAnge easily! And of course, it just wasn’t gong to work with the Princess at all, but I see it as the “Hatsukoi” relationship.

I kinda remember a series of sketches that was on Danbooru that introduced me to the pair, Makoto was trying to kiss Davi who then poofs back into her fairy form, all embarrassed. I had no prior knowledge to DokiPre besides the stuff people were saying about it at the time - that it sucks and Mana’s Harem and stuff - so I was intrigued. And then during that time Leigh’s mom kicked us out of her house and we were stuck at a friend’s place who had no internet/cell phone reception whatsoever, I spent whatever time I DID have internet (at work) looking up the DaviMako tag on Pixiv. And I fell in love. 

And yeah, I latched onto whatever moments there were in the show. Episodes 24 and 40 are my babies. And then I picked apart any little scenes found elsewhere, too. Not just for pairing stuff, though! Me noticing that Davi was showing up slightly more often as a human in later episodes and the implications of the apartment scenarios helped shape part of the AU!
