Can we get a speed painting of your drawing process like from a commission or personal project?

Sure thing! Actually, I have speedpaints of almost all my recent paintings because CSP records them automatically, so if you want to see the process of one in particular feel free to ask for it!

This particular one was a commission of a drow couple that I loved doing, mostly because it was very challenging for me. I still suck at rendering trees though. Here is the finished image:

Okay changed the drow couple’s designs slightly. Zabrinxa got V bangs and shorter hair, and Rhyl/Micar is practically the same except his post lolth design changed (he wears his hair naturally instead of slicking it back smooth, and wears more normal fancy clothes).

ALSO Zab’s hair got turned more brown, she’s quite a bit taller than normal drow, hot freckles, and has green eyes, because she is half wood elf and I want to show that beyond her being really fast.

Veszlyn and Dinoryn, the two whom I love. These two raised the Dark Urge, or in this case, Nithcria. Yes, Dinoryn is now dead. What a shame... Veszlyn was gone on business when it happened. Me and my buddy LOVE traumatizing him.

There’s something wrong with them

Okay I think I finally figured out the woman of the drow couple’s whole deal. Zabrinxa, which I’ve decided I love for her name, is actually not a full drow. Her father was a wood elf. So fastest drow you’ve ever met and isn’t quite as sensitive to the sun or day, also is on the tall side for drow. She ended up finding her way to being a cleric of Elistraee because she was sick of being outcast from both drow society for not being a whole drow, and from wood elven society for looking way more like a drow than a wood elf. She ended up being a bystander to a girl getting hurt and has been ripping herself apart for it everyday since, especially since that girl was her closest friend at the time.

Zabrinxa also loves singing and has a garden at her house. Her favorite dress, despite the fact she is very focused on black colors with her wardrobe, is a bright yellow sundress with flowers on it. She knows how to play the violin and is very crafty & knowledgeable about magic. She has a Diamond suit symbol on her left cheek.

And while I haven’t named him yet, I will explain his rough story outline too. His family is a noble drow family, but not of extremely high standings. For years he was like “I think I’m a guy but I’m the second daughter so I won’t say anything.” Some time passes, he’s like “fuck this bullshit I’m a Paladin of lolth now, I’m going to family and telling them what’s what.” They’re like okay well here’s the deal, we can kill you, you can be a good woman, or you can kill your brother in fratricide. You will assume his entire identity including his name. He’s obviously chose fratricide. Which tbh I would want to be a normal man in drow society let alone a trans man, but that’s the entire point and why I think his story works so well.

He loves writing, plays the lyre, and has his right eye missing. The thing we wears all the time is this leathery scarf and he only wears silver metals. He’s very clever at outsmarting people and is quick to deduce the truth from situations. I think at some point he lets Zabrinxa dyes his hair black.

Also they hate each other & are constantly trying to wear each other down which unfortunately means wearing themselves down. Which culminates in them enjoying each other’s presence. Thank you for reading all that.
