I think one of the reasons I'm so comfortable writing dialogue in my stories is because I imagine the tone of characters speaking a d then add the words afterward. Does anyone else get what I mean?
I'll imagine two characters talking, I'll imagine their tone and their body language, but I won't imagine their words. But when it comes time to actually describe what they're saying, I'm able to make up the words that fit in, y'know?
Either that or it's also just helpful that I whisper to myself while I type
