3. what is your favourite genre?
i haven't been reading as much historical fiction as i usually do because i've gotten burned by a couple new releases :// however a few years back i went insane and tried to mathematically calculate my average/preferred century and even decade for historical fiction based both on what i had read and what was on my tbr. i think my safe zone used to be 1880-1945 but i have probably become more adventurous. i should do that again since i have nothing else to do. there's probably so much more data!!
20. what are things you look for in a book?
i am first and foremost a prose reader and even then i have difficulty describing what exactly draws me to a certain type of prose. it has to have the abstract quality you get in good lyrical prose, but then i want it to narrow in on a certain detail and get very specific. plot and character development are secondary to me
