(Part 1) Hi, Thanks for the awesome blog - I'm a huge fan myself and ypur gifs are just candy to me! However I'm not particularly fond of your take on the wet shirt frame...I feel you're saying she should have worn a bra.
There is enough patriarchy in our societies for us, women, to put an additional layer of shame on our sisters' bodies... I believe women should be able to dress as they want be they educated, mothers and what not. The hypersexualisation of my nipples has nothing to do with ME and everything to do with OTHERS and the latter are the ones that need to change, NOT ME. Especially for once that natural small boobs are at stake. :) Peace!
First of all, thank you! I appreciate it.
My post on the subject was about my shock in seeing that on a family show airing on CBS in 1993 when views were much more narrow and long before the #freethenipple movement. Never once did I shame her or anyone else for that matter. I'm in no position to do so nor do I care to. Jane Seymour has multiple pictures where she's topless or nipples are visible. She has a great body and she owns it and there's nothing wrong with it. I agree with your stance on this issue and more women should follow suit and reclaim their bodies. You can't expect the "hypersexualisation" of anything to be going away anytime soon, however. It's ingrained in us as a society, sadly, and there's a very long road ahead. That's where my surprise stemmed from and it wasn't anything more than that. I wasn't saying "how dare she show her nipples" or anything of the sort. It was merely an observation.
