Flashback to a few years ago when I was in AZ and I asked for a local wine with acid and low abv: This is Chateau Tumbleweed’s Dr. Ron Bot Red comprised of 47% Syrah from Deep Sky Vineyard, 13% Syrah from Cimarron Vyd, 27% Grenache from Pillsbury Vyd and 13% Carignan from SW New Mexico. All vineyards are at 4300 feet elevation!!! A third of the grapes were left whole-cluster with 10 days skin contact, aged 11 mos in 15% new French oak. 13.8% abv.
