He ate the rest of the leftovers--he didn't mean to, they were just so GOOD--but he felt shitty for not leaving any for you after you worked so hard to make them. So he offers to pick up whatever sweets and drinks you want on the way back to the apartment, his treat.

And he also asks what ingredients you'd need to make more of those sweet buns and cookies because shit, they were really good and he'd love to have some more
