Grady Memorial Hospital looked like a place sent from heaven, but inside of those walls was hell, pure and simple. Beth had gone into that place with a healthy balance of worry and optimism, but walked out simply void of both. A shell of the girl she once was, officially able to be labeled a murderer. This was a very different Beth to the one she’d been just weeks prior. Escaping the hospital was not easy, but a short trip down the elevator shaft followed by a few minutes of dodging walkers and officers was all it took. She got out. Scarred, but alive. It’s not long after she escapes that she sees a person. She’s moments away from running, sure they’d try to kill her, but then she sees his hand. Or lack thereof. She approaches, though she’s still hesitant. He didn’t seem like the good guy to her. Not back in the prison at least.
❛ Merle. You’re alive. ❜
