because fuck it this is the only way im gonna be active, i'm keeping all threads too btw
just a little psa ab activity.
i feel like i’ve said it before but just in case: this blog is super low activity. i love beth and i have a lot of muse for her, but my focus is on my multi and i’m not very good at activity on solo blogs as it is. muse is high but focus/motivation on this blog is not. and you could argue that i could just put beth on the multi, and yeah i could but with how much i’ve moved her in the past i dont really want to do it again.

shifterblood — mack
“That depends…. is it safe for me to let you open the door?” His brain is processing the many possible dangers of his current situation — had someone seen him shift? He isn’t sure where he is, or who is here with him, or why they helped him at all. But that voice —- it doesn’t sound threatening. In fact, it’s one of the most docile sounds he’s heard in a long time. And then the door opens, revealing the same blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl from before. His throat his dry, too dry to swallow the lump forming within it as his heart rate increases. He has no idea the events that brought him here, and what she’s seen — how much she knows, or if she’s a threat.
Making sure the blanket is covering himself, he gives the stack of clothes another glance and remains silent for a moment, almost dumbfounded and at a loss for anything to say. He has questions — but he isn’t sure how to ask them. He’s just gonna have to play it by ear, “I, uh… thanks,” he finally responds, hues lifting to meet her gaze, “…. I’m Mack, I — I’m sorry, I’m just not sure how I —” there’s a short pause as he glances at his surroundings before his eyes are once again trained on her, “— how I ended up here.. did you… did you bandage my leg?”
Beth has seen some things she didn't know were possible today, but a person is a person and at the end of the day she isn't the type to leave someone that needs help behind. They're not too far from where he'd protected her, a mile at most. The small house wasn't perfect, but it would do for now. His confusion isn't surprising, people aren't this homely in the apocalypse. Not most people, at least.
“Beth.” Spoken with a smile, purposefully trying to look softer. She's not a threat, but she does worry that the scars across her face say otherwise. “Were about a mile out from where you helped me. Where you got shot.” A nod is given to his leg, just in case he didn't know how it happened. “Bullet went through without splitting into pieces, you're lucky. I may know things, but I sure as hell couldn't do that surgery out here with nothin’ but the stuff in this house.”
wiingedvirtues — virtue
virtue looks the blonde over, her SOUL is clean enough. she’s not a threat, not that virtue can really be THREATENED. but she hates the tiresome nature of laying waste to human life. it’s against her nature, though she’s willing.
“that would be awful KIND of you.”
beth may have CHANGED to fit the end of the world, but deep down she's the same little farm girl she'd always been. GENTLE, kind, doing her best to help others. shoes are more important than people give them credit for, injured feet slowing you down enough to be a risk to your life.
“can't leave your feet all unprotected. could get sick or stand on something SHARP.”
spillcdblood — rick
Even Rick feels like he made one too many mistakes at the prison. He tried to live with the idea that they didn’t have to fight for everything, that all they needed was a gate and walls to keep them secure. He’d been wrong.
There were some things he’d done right. But, in the end, their home lay open to attack and he never wants to lose that way again. He doesn’t want to feel that helplessness sinking into the pit of his stomach, that horror at everything being out of his hands while his people suffer for it. He hears Beth and nods, he understands, and he knows that she’s grown. She’s not the same girl she’d been on the farm, nor the prison. They’ve all changed in some ways, but he sees it distinctly with her.
❝ Y’can have both, I think. Hopeful but realistic. There’s some kind of trick to it, but we’ll prepare ‘em, we’ll get ‘em ready. ❞
She still thinks about Grady a lot, obsessively almost. A traumatic time playing over in her mind, Dawn appearing out of nowhere in her nightmares. The woman was dead and gone, but oh how she lived on in the minds of those afraid of her. Of course Gormon showed up more than Dawn, but Beth had dealt with people like him before. Dawn was horrifyingly new.
She doesn't want this place to end up like that place. She knows deep down that it won't, but she's too afraid to risk it. She knows that with the group it's safer, they could take out anyone in their path, but the thought still lingers. She's just glad that she knows her people are nothing like Dawn or Gormon. Her leaders are good people. Rick and Daryl and Carol, they'd never be those kinds of people. At least, that's what Beth thinks. Any voice in the back of her head saying that they've done bad things too simply goes ignored.
❝ You'd think we'd know the tricks by now. ❞ Spoken with a small laugh, but of course it had been a long time since the group had migrated with another group. The farm was the last time Rick and co. had to share a strangers safe haven, and the fall of Woodbury brought strangers into theirs. Neither really ended up well for said safe havens. ❝ Been working at it all long enough. ❞
shefiights — carol
❛ then he had to go. ❜ taking lives bothered carol, more than it used to now after what she’d had to do before finding the group. but sometimes it needed to be done, especially if they posed a threat to the safety of others. ❛ try not to dwell on it too much, beth. the more you think about it, the more it destroys you. ❜
she tries not to dwell, but there's a lot of free time in the apocalypse. either your fighting for your life or thinking about what you'd done. thinking about it sure does destroy you, something terrible for an over thinker with self destructive tendencies like beth. ❛ how did you do it ? at the prison, i mean, after karen and david ? how did you move past it ? ❜ beth's almost surprised she remembers their names, but their deaths made quite the impression.

MOBILE VERSES
MAIN VERSE — THREADS
Set around the canon events of The Walking Dead with slight canon divergence. In this verse Beth makes it out of Grady Memorial Hospital alive. Dawn still fired the bullet, but it only grazed Beth’s head, leaving her injured but alive - much like Daryl in season 2. Team Family leaves thinking that she's dead and the wards at Grady help to fix her up. As soon as she's well enough she leaves, attempting to follow her family. She ends up in the Kingdom, trying to adjust to their peaceful way of life. It's not until Morgan and Carol show up that she discovers that the group isn't dead, she then makes her way to Alexandria to see her family again. Note: Some threads will go along with team family taking Beth with them after the hospital so that she was always in Alexandria instead of the kingdom.
AMNESIA VERSE — THREADS
Set around the canon events of The Walking Dead with slight canon divergence. In this verse Beth got shot in the head at Grady and was buried, but then she woke up. She fought her way out of her grave and was eventually found by an officer from Grady. She has no memory of anything since before the world ended and is just trying to find her family, but she doesn’t realize that the family she’s looking for is mostly dead and that the family she needs thinks she’s dead. It’s all a struggle for Beth, but she still has so much hope left that she’s managing on her own.
SAVIOR VERSE — THREADS
Set around the canon events of The Walking Dead with slight canon divergence. In this verse Beth was never saved from Grady by Team Family. Whether or not they came for her is irrelevant; she escaped Grady on her own and she was pissed. It had been a long while since she saw Team Family, and in her time away she found herself meeting The Saviors. Soon enough she became one of them; harder and angry, no longer caring for the kind and sweet lifestyle she’d once lived. She lives as one of Negan's wives, not all that happy in her position but she's doing all that she can to survive. That said, she still sings. It's seen as creepy more than cute these days, but she'll sing to Negan when he wants it.
MTV SCREAM VERSE — THREADS
Set around the canon events of MTV’s Scream with influence from The Walking Dead. Beth lives in Lakewood and is a student at the local high school, just trying to survive despite the killer that always seems to be on the loose. A shy girl, she's not really close to many people, though hen she as younger she had found a friend in Emma Duval. Over the years the pair drifted and by high school didn't talk. Beth had been attacked and stabbed once early on in the events of season one, and had recovered by the finale. She managed to stay relatively safe during season two, being attacked once early in the season but not being seriously injured.
TEEN WOLF VERSE — THREADS
Set around the canon events of Teen Wolf with influence from The Walking Dead. Beth moved to Beacon Hills and started school at Beacon Hills High around the start of season one, but one night she’d been attacked while on a walk. She was turned into a werewolf and now has to face this new version of the world. She hardly understands the life of the supernatural but Scott and his pack are helping her to adjust to this life. She’s still learning to control her shifts; so moments of anger and full moons are very dangerous for the blonde. Still, she does her best to learn about her new condition and tries her hardest to make full moons safe for everyone around her, not wanting to be the big bad wolf that tore up the town.
STRANGER THINGS VERSE — THREADS
Set around the canon events of Stranger Things with influence from The Walking Dead. Beth was born and raised just outside of Atlanta, but after an accident ended up burning down Beth's family's farm they had to move. Going for a big change, the family moved to Hawkins. Beth's the new girl at the start of season one, oblivious to the darkness going on around her. Her father owns the local vet and Beth works there on the weekends, which has led to her making friends with people that have sick pets.
MOBILE BIOGRAPHY
triggers: rape, sexual assault and death.
Bethany Greene grew up on a farm in Rural Georgia. To anyone on the outside the farm didn’t seem like anything special, but it had been in the Greene family for a very long time. She went to school further into the city, getting the chance to mingle and socialize, though she spent a lot of her time trying to get out of her sisters shadow. It wasn’t until someone at school heard her sing that she sky-rocket-ed into popularity. She had never thought of herself as that great of a performer, but apparently everyone else thought differently.
She ended up liking a boy one day. He was the usual kind of popular guy who didn’t really care about much else other than sex and football. Beth didn’t know this though, and so she started becoming louder and wearing skirts that were just a little bit shorter in an attempt to catch his attention.
She never caught this boys attention until a party one night. Her father had told her that she couldn’t go, but Beth insisted it would be fine and eventually he allowed it. Beth had only just managed to get out and get on her bike that night, she’d worn something she knew her father never would’ve approved of and so she’d been in a desperate rush to leave without him seeing her. That night while she was at the party the boy gave her a few drinks. At first she’d been worried seeing as her father had forbidden them from drinking alcohol, but then she decided that it was the only way to get him to like her, so she took the drinks.
It wasn’t long before she started to feel light headed and weak, like she’d been whacked over the head and was about to pass out. She was surprised when the boy found her and took her upstairs, but she was thankful that he was looking out for her. She didn’t realize something was wrong until he started tugging at her clothes. She tried her hardest to fight back, but she couldn’t stop him from doing the horrible, horrible thing that he had planned.
From then on she was always quiet and innocent, never really bothering with boys despite the attention she sometimes got from the male population. It became apparent that he had shared with his friends what he had done, and he hadn’t bothered to sugar coat it. His friends knew all the gruesome details and she knew it every time one of them looked at her.
Beth Greene was 16 years old when her life turned upside down. Her mother and brother had been dead - at least she thought they had been - when suddenly they got up again. But something was wrong. They were sick they had to have been. They came at her and her sister as if they were lions and the Greene sisters were merely prey to the beasts. Not knowing what else to do with them, the family locked them in their barn. Slowly, though, the population in the barn began to rise. More and more sick people were coming through and the barn was crowded. That’s when a man came running up to their house with his kid bleeding out in his arms. Beth had thought her life was crazy before that, but Rick and his boy brought with them a future the blonde never would have dreamed about.

leftlimp — jeff
so much time had passed since the beginning, since jeff had finally come across the prison and was reunited with his FAMILY. & within that time frame so much had happened ; the rise and fall of so many supposed “ SAFE HAVENS ” from the prison to terminus, arrive & survive, they said … jeff was glad to see the place go up in flames. they were separated from everyone, jeff & nick alone, and then out of nowhere there was THEIR FAMILY. and together they all traveled, hungry & tired & close to their breaking point —until aaron.
alexandria was the safest place they’d been since the prison, safer even. they had walls and food and protection, they were safe for the time being and jeff was more than content in taking his time getting used to that idea of safety. a runner’s what he becomes, scavenging for the community, earning his right to STAY. the small town they’re in seemed deserted, but leaving a building he can’t help but hear the voice call out ; he can’t help the hitch of breath in his throat as his jaw hangs. & he can’t help his feet carrying him towards her.
❛ beth ?! ❜
she can't believe her eyes, she had been so sure every one else was gone. maybe not dead, but gone. & obviously they'd been sure she was dead. she can't blame them for that, though. a gun shot to the head isn't something people tended to survive before, let alone in the apocalypse.
when it came to that she was lucky for grady, lucky for the doctor that noticed her pulse just moments before he had planned to throw her to the dead. although, without grady she never would have been in that situation to begin with. a curse with it's own silver lining.
she moves toward him as fast as he moves toward her, & despite her excitement there's a hesitance in each step. she could be seeing things, he could be a walker that she's just imagining as jeff, but she's excited. for the first time in a long time things look positive. if she was imagining things she would snap out of it soon enough, she'd have to.
❛ I thought everyone was gone. thought I'd never see you again. ❜
drtywork — merle
He went his separate way from the group. He’d been so keen on finding his brother, but upon finding him, he felt like an outcast. Everyone there was acting like a loving family while Merle simply stood in the background, and especially watching Daryl. It was his own decision to leave the group behind (he was nothing but a bad influence), turning his back as the others spoke of him behind his back. Merle had to hold back every cell in his body from turning back around, to say he’d walk alongside them, walk alongside Daryl; but he simply kept walking. After stumbling across the ruined city does the figure of a younger woman catch his eye. She wasn’t recognizable (at least to Merle), but upon further inspection does a light-bulb go off in the eldest Dixon’s head.
❛Well damn. Looks s’if th’lil Greene girl recognizes me.❜
She wonders if he's changed, or if he's still just as he was then. She knows that she's changed a lot, so she finds the idea of other people not changing to be quite strange. Then again, some people were just made for this world. The bad kind of people, the ones that thrive on the chaos and danger that a world like this provides.
❛You're hard to forget.❜
It's not meant as a compliment, but she has no doubt he'll take it as one. Merle Dixon just strikes her as the type to take things as compliments even when they're not, and being unforgettable is something many people strive for. She's sure he's no exception.
❛Plus, last time I saw Daryl he mentioned you.❜
She didn’t sob or wail. Her grief was horribly discreet but as persistent and almost as silent as bleeding from an unstitched wound.
