Okay, I learned a couple things about myself: 1) I'll NEVER call myself a "hyper-realist," and 2) If I can finish a portrait to this level or better (mind you this is my first, and I'll only get better from here), I don't even need that label. As long the "likeness" is there and it's an all-around good piece, most people couldn't care less about categories. I'm gonna stop here even though it's not quite finished. I'm just pleased with it. I needed to know I could actually DO it. I have, like, 30 of these, laying around the house, unfinished.
