😃 - i gotta feeling :D
Just another rendering tutorial because I make too many of them. Miss digital painting and the convienance that comes with it. Oh well. Guess I'll be fine playing with my traditiomal airbrush instead for a while.
Just about done airbrushing these feathers.

seriously considering selling my soul and getting an airbrush +compressor etc, and just fkn getting into airbrushing??? like, been applying primer with paintbrushes to my sculpture today and was rewatching northoftheborrder on yt in the background and airbrush looks so much better, and, presumably with practice, easier. just. dear god, the initial costs to get started. are high. but i have several sculptures still to make, at least 4-5, probably more, esp considering what i thought of making draco for his birthday, and i'd want one of those too, so that's basically 7 sculptures right off the bat, plus maybe one for a coworker. and look, if once i get into airbrushing and experienced and get everything set up then i'm probably gonna want to make more (botw sculptures of my own amirite?!!). so really i'm already well convinced that i want this. it's just super fucking expensive upfront.
i'm looking at an iwata eclipse gravity 0.35mm airbrush.
undecided on compressor. trying to find something decent and affordable and can set to 30psi bc that seems to be what experienced people are saying works best for painting figurines/models. oil free.
sort of annoying that places don't list literally all the specs. if i go more expensive then can get multi-use out of air compressor (nail gun for building would be good, tbh), but still need to be able to hit that lower psi value. but it's almost like they actually want me to go in-store to inspect their stuff 🙄
anyway if anyone knows anything abt air compressors and can recc stuff that is sold in nz, then please shout out. i'm gonna go to bed now and hopefully sleep sometime before work 😅
