Drumburgh Castle, Cumbria by malcolm cooper Via Flickr: Drumburgh Castle lies to the west of Carlisle in Cumbria on high ground above the Solway. The 13th century defended house was built from stone from Hadrian's Wall which runs close by and this is a great and characterful medieval building. It is Grade I listed.
