apparently watching Drumline 2 once every semester is becoming a pep band tradition and honestly even though it's not even anywhere near a good movie I am 100% okay with that
Drumline and drumline 2 will always be my not so guilty pleasure
Drumline 2 is what happens when you choose light skinned prettiness over talent.
Keke Palmer would have been a much better choice.
UPDATE: KeKe Palmer is gorgeous, the only difference is that she isnt light skinned AND she’s talented... which in hollywood means that she’s not good enough. Just ask Straight Outta Compton
Drumline A New Beat: Another Major Production shot on the campus of
Clark Atlanta University
One of the funnest social events my band has put on this year was our Drumline 2 viewing party! When the movie came out a ton of us gathered in a spacious, comfortable lounge in one of the nicest dorms on campus (which also happened to be incredibly hard to find... luckily I got lost with a few other people so we were able to stumble helplessly upon it together), ordered a ton of pizza and sodas (so much that even twenty college kids couldn't devour it all), and got hyped for the premiere! I found it especially hilarious because if I'm not mistaken, we might have been the only people in the world to actually look forward to, much less celebrate, that movie's release, but it was a really fun night! ... Even though by the time the movie had ended we couldn't remember a single character's name and weren't entirely sure what the actual plot had been either. XD (For the record, the band's other favorite movie of all time is Space Jam. Don't ask me why, but the Drumline even goes as far as having annual all-out Space Jam parties/movie nights, and words cannot even explain how incredibly hyped our little section of the bleachers gets when they play Come On And Slam before every basketball game.)
Wait, so was the girl from Drumline 2 the one who played Aaliyah?
I shouldn't complain though female African American lead, I ain't mad at that
