Tim Minear,
I know that you're pissy that John Wells stole your rescuers-with-heart theme and sold it to your old network with that "Baywatch" knock off (and, oh, the Rob and Arielle of it all), but don't think that you're going to dethrone him as The Most Hated Showrunner In T.V. (they don't call him The Dragon for nothing) because that man still remembers my name and the negative media wrath that I, many other journalists and former journalists, fans, and even subordinate writers and cast members, made him yield with (why they call me The Dragon Slayer), but I bet that you're starting to sense my déjà vu, though. I am too old for this shit! Yes, you may have made history with the amount of backlash that you've already received in just the week since you aired the biggest mistake that you've ever made, but it took all of us, and years of convincing (not to mention the departure of the lead actress, so there was more money in the show's budget to give the actor portraying a gay ginger with bipolar disorder in Chicago's South Side a deserved raise and rehire the actor who played his preferred lover, his high school sweetheart, a now-proud once-self-hating abuse surviving gay white thug and make him a main cast member once and for all after unjustly firing him multiple times, and treating the character like shit season after season, despite being a fan favourite, and critics agreeing that the character was not treated with the nuance that he was due by the showrunner), but we did get Mickey back, Ian and Mickey's relationship being more of a focal point, our happy ending, and a bonus/honeymoon season (and, no, I'm not talking about the "Hall Of Shame" - I.Y.K.Y.K.).
I'm still not okay with you making me cry over the face of Caleb Daniels.
We also always wanted him to kill their abusive fathers (yes, Ramon and Phillip are shitty parents, but they've got nothing on Frank and Terry), but he waited until the last season to do so (and literally the last minute in one's case), so, if you think that you're confirming that Bobby Nash (their positive father figure) is actually really dead (and on my birth day - the queerest day of the year - literally May Day), and not going through with Buddie canon after all this teasing, you've got an other thing coming, because, fuck turning 39, I will rally, and make you regret those decisions. I will be celebrating with my cake. Not crying in to it.
