For the flower asks: Carnation, Allium, Daffodil, Magnolia and Azalea? ^_^
[References this ask post.]
Carnation: if I handed you a concert ticket right now, who would you want to be the performer?
Darius Rucker! He’s got a great voice and consistent energy.
Allium: what’s the best thing you can cook?
I don’t get to cook much while at college, since it doesn’t make sense cost-wise. When I do cook, the best thing I can make is drunk chicken! It’s a German recipe that involves red wine. It makes a purplish stew that is actually delicious. Here’s a recipe if anyone wants to try it.
Daffodil: what’s the most thoughtful present you’ve ever received?
When I was ten, my mom made my sister and I robes for Christmas. She was a great seamstress. She made my curtains and duvet and some of my Halloween costumes (Snow White is the first I remember). She sewed a label on the inner hem that read, “Made especially for you by (her name).” It was my last Christmas present from her, as we lost her a few days before the holiday the next year. It still fits very well, and I hate that I couldn’t take it to college this semester with me.
Magnolia: favorite kind of candy?
Lifesavers Junior Mints. Save them for special occasions though.
Azalea: what’s a movie you cried while watching?
The first four times I saw Tangled, when Rapunzel’s parents share that sad moment before sending out the lantern, it always made me cry. The king’s face and the music just broke my heart. Still does, really, I’m getting misty eyed thinking about it, but I hate to cry in front of people outside my family, so when around others, I restrain the tears. I’ve cried at less emotional things though, like Futurama (not just the dog episode) and The Simpsons.
