Petition for a sitcomesque Zuko-centric prequel, where every minor incident is proof of the Avatar, only to be resolved in a completely mundane fashion.

I realize that this is like, the least important element of A:TLA 1x01, but I’m fascinated by the bones in Katara and Sokka’s canoe. Where did they come from? They look kind of like femurs, but so does any generic “bone” image. What kind of animal were those harvested from? Are they hunted for the bones, with the meat and hide being a convenient byproduct, or is it the other way around? Are there like, tribal customs around which animals can and cannot be used to make canoes? Are different types of bones used for different types of boats? Are bones even a viable option in shipbuilding? I would think you’d want something more flexible. They could be purely decorative, I guess, but they don’t look like it. Those bones look like an important component of the canoe.

Have you released the dolls? Will they get a spot in the office?

The Rei and Michiru road trip dolls? YES. I found them a couple weeks ago, and they’re currently in the window of our office. DocDoc and I will take photos with them next week, and share the glory with all (for glorious they are indeed, I love them SO much)
