I thought it'd be more interesting if Nate/Nathan had some actual conflict with each other instead of them being one and the same
All of Nate's morally dubious actions were mostly done because of Nathan's lack of reasoning
When Graham arrives in Germany, Nathan's gonna go fully rogue and completely disregard his and Nate's well-being all to get a chance to be with Giles
One time he confronts Giles, and Giles---who is in the "anger" stage of finding out his husband was cheating on him while he was still in the us---goes and stabs him
However, Nathan was actually happy about this ! Profoundly ! Giles twists the knife and Nat goes and helps him too ! Giles then goes "okay that's enough" and leaves and immediately washes his hands 😭😭😭
Now while Nathan was happy, Nate was terrified now ! He was stabbed by his history crush after all, and he was starting to question if those feelings were from him or from Nathan
I haven't posted this here yet
Death and murder is the DrunkPushover love language
This moment is actually when Giles actually starts to (very loosely) "reciprocate" (aka: woah there is something deeply wrong with him as well and I can probably use that as a means of amusement)
I don't think this is okay tbh
