Drunksies:
It was Jacks 25th birthday and he obviously went out to celebrate
Davey had only been drunk twice in his life
The first time was... definitely not legal, he was 19
He gets blind within three drinks, and he’s hella light weight. Like it’s a mess. Very sappy, very soft, very messy...
The man can not walk in a straight line it’s just concerning.
Considering the mess of the aftermath, he had never really wanted to be drunk again. Like he was just horrible for a few days after, could barely move, sick, feeling like shit. So he doesn’t drink much after that.
Jack on the other hand is not light weight at all, in fact he’s pretty sober even after seven drinks or so, so he’s usually able to tease everyone about the mess they were the next day. (Same with Albert and Spot. They can handle quite a bit before it gets messy)
Jack celebrated his birthday at Jacobis, where they all grew up at. Mr Jacobi knew them well and served them their first drinks, very wholesome moment.
Everyone was there, Race and Albert played a heated game of pool againt Elmer and Finch. A lot of accusing, chaos and kneeling on the table to get the right angle.
Finch is great at pool, he says it’s his ‘great aim skills for that.’
Katherine gets really philosophical... like shit gets real. Of corse she’s not too messy but she did end up dancing on a table at some point.
Romeo dances a lot- like he full on break dances and everyones all for it. He drags Katherine in and she and him dance together twirling and prancing about while the others cheer them on. Definitely a tango or two.
Karaoke is a must. It’s sloppy and horrible.
Race definitely sang My Heart Will Go On very loudly and very horribly while pointing at Albert (a tradition he had every night they went out.)
It started when they were younger and the first time they went on that ✨party juice✨. They weren’t really together yet and kinda joked about being a couple for years so they sang cheesy romance songs on karaoke all night while pointing at each other through the crowd. Then they actually got together finally and then they kept it going as a joke.
Now DAVEY; ok so the second time he got drunk was on Jacks 25th.
He knew he was in a safe space. He knew Jack would be there for him. He knew he was of legal age now. He knew Sarah was at home staying up writing songs so he had someone to get him home. He was prepared as always.
When Race finished his fifth song (Never Gonna Give You Up) Davey got up on the mic
Jack was sitting at the bar kind of just observing. He stays away from the crowd so he just was chilling with his beer. Just watching everyone else.
He wasn’t unhappy, he was filled with joy, but he just enjoyed the quiet in the chaos.
So you can imagine his immediate attention when Davey got up on the karaoke stage which is something he would never do cause he’s normally a quiet guy. It was already sloppy and unclean.
Jack chuckled preparing himself for whatever TF was about to happen.
Next thing you know Davey just locks eyes with Jack and kinda inhales, his bottle of beer in a firm grip in this left hand while his right hand held the mic to his mouth.
He closes his eyes and then points at Jack, doing a lil twirl with his finger through the air.
“This one goes out to the hottest guy I know- Race shut the fuck up no that’s not you, it’s Jack... CoUnTRy BoY I LoOoOoOvEEeEe YoUuUuUuUuUuu!!!!!!!!!! Ok that’s it hehe” then he just put the mic back and hopped off the stage while everyone else was in shock.
Albert watched the whole thing and just chuckled and took a swing, caught eye contact with Jack and gave him one of those oh god have fun looks, knowing that Davey would never hear the end of it.
Jack went bright red, hopped straight up to Davey, pat him on the back, gave a lil salute to everyone who was there and just said “ok Bud, let’s get ya home”
Davey giggled in his face cheekily, the beer breath was strong but Jack was more worried than anything.
He helped Davey up, slang his arm around his shoulder and made his way out.
Everyone wished Jack a happy birthday on his way out. It was truely one of his best birthday nights yet.
