I love when two characters (Usually men) clearly have something going on, but can't follow through with it for some reason

And normally the fandom uses this to make the most gut-wrenching fics

there should be a fanmade ultimate newsies guide

It would help me (and i’m sure others) SO MUCH. Some info it would have is:

every canon newsie in both 92sies and livesies (nickname, full name, age, bday, personality, nationality, which borough they’re from, photos from each iteration)

explanations/definitions of our vocabulary (fansies, 92sies, uksies, toursies, why do we add ‘sies’ to everything)

all the most popular memes and inside jokes with links to their origins (poor guys head, max’s mom made cookies, etc)

an UNBIASED breakdown of all the most popular ships, ship names, canon reasons for shipping, etc

who plays each character in each iteration (including all various broadway casts)

links to slime tuts, bts vids, and performance clips

would yall find this helpful too?? cause i still have trouble differentiating all the various newsies

If you think of Santa Fe as Jack's allegory for heaven, everything becomes a LOT sadder. Him telling the newsies that he had family there he wanted to see, was he lying or was he talking about his brother and mom? When he told Sarah he planned to leave when the strike was over, to what extent did he want to leave? When Roosevelt gave him the advice that convinced him to stay, did he know what he was talking Jack out of? Was he promising Crutchie something darker than he realized? When he painted the desert for Medda, was he telling her where to find him? Did Jack want escape or did he want death?

i would talk about how jack singing ‘i never planned on someone like you/don’t come knocking on my door’ to kath makes no sense but it WOULD make sense if he sung it to davey but some of y’all aren’t ready to hear that.
