This is the first gown Taylor has worn like the entire era and one of the first times her outfit hasn’t included pants of some kind (romper, jumpsuit, shorts, etc.) I feel like this is because she doesn’t feel like she has anything to prove or any standards to live up to in the film world. She doesn’t have to be “the man” and fight for her life. She doesn’t have to carry the film industry on her back. She did this project for fun and because she’s doing “whatever the hell she wants.”
