#Repost @drview1 ・・・ As I land in Toronto for #AERA, I can’t describe the emotions that I feel today. I’m overwhelmed with joy because I never thought this day would come. Two years ago I was at my lowest point and even considered quitting my PhD program. I didn’t believe I was good enough. And I didn’t believe my vision for accessible, innovative and collective knowledge production would be what it is today. But I’m grateful for the pain. I’m currently walking through grace. I learned how to cope and work through my trauma. I was given the hope and inspiration to reimagine my scholarship, through reading, wrestling and conceptualizing the labor(s)/wisdom of Love, Cooper, Lindsey, R.N. Brown, Sulé, hooks, Ball, Moten, Greene, Baldwin, Emdin, Petchauer, Saucier, Dimitriadis, Bell, Freire, and many others. Today is the day of new beginnings. Of new and healthy ways of proclaiming Blackness. Of dismantling institutions that oppress Black and Brown folx. Of coping with trauma. Of reimagining Black and Brown life. And producing new methodological and axiological lanes for Hip-Hop praxis for future generations. I’m proud of TSP’s evolution from a dissertation idea to now a full fledge squad willing to work collectively to free people through music. TSP is the epitome of theory-to -practice-to-action. We’re excited about the content that we created and hope that you will support us by purchasing the album. All proceeds will go to establishing our TSP hybrid record label/non-profit organization. Tag educators, activists, co-conspirators, and lovers of creative and dope shit. Share the album with your friends. Let us know what you think. Take flight with us! #DrView Link to the album is in my bio! Let’s go! https://www.instagram.com/raptjr/p/Bv4MLaNFhr1/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1certo898f5xx
