I am. dismayed to say. that unfortunately Senku has a Random Word Association Nickname now

so. i am HORRIBLE with names. for a while you two were rhe only ones i could actually remember the names of & that's just cuz your names reminded me of Other Things (ex; Asagiri is also the name of the author of a manga i used to love). I also could remember Chrome's name easily cuz his names shiny.

names that start the same are interchangable for me (ex: Cavalon, Caspian, Casimir)

i write, and have a LOT of ocs.

i have a character named Sentinel.

I recently remembered he exists.

Sentinel.

starts the same as Senku.

so mow they're interchangable.

except.

fhe character that interacts w/ Sentinel the most.

is worse with names than i am

so they always call Sentinel as Cilantro.

....

and so my brain immediately decided "Senku = Cilantro"

.... well. That's... quite a leap in logic......

i love Creating languages for my worlds cuz it means that one of my characters can make Everyone cry by saying "thus technically, the moon is a star."

explanation!

One of my worlds, which said language originates from, is made up of floating islands with no actual sky or day/night cycle (it was made by gods that didn't care about logic).

The word for "star" was originally just "any eye catching shiny thing", and became the word for The Stars In The Sky when adopted by other Realms.

the moon is an eye catching shiny thing.

thus, star.

.. in that language.

basically just a "behold, a man" moment except not to be petty, instead to be a menace

......... I can see the logic, but from a scientific point of view this langauge hurts my soul. Deeply. Why is this something to be petty about? How does any sort of space science even work with that sort of language?
