This is my car post paint job, I went with a Night Hawk Black Pearl, pretty much just Black with A blue sparkle. I had envisioned my car a certain way after getting it painted but once painted I began to tear off the panels as they were no good, falling off the clips due to abuse. I really wanted to Gut my car but as time goes by and see how much of a “Gutted” car looks I’m not sure I want to go that route. I have seen plenty of cars that are gutted and some can pull it off, in a coupe for instance it’s very hard to do so unless you have the right mindset. These cars being fixed up aren’t for others to applaud or to be handed off to someone for an extra $1000 bucks. They are a piece of the person who has been to hell and back and it became apart of that persons personality. Now with my EJ8 having the factory Clover Green Pearl, had been spray painted, to getting a complete paint makeover on the outside. The now car sits with apart of me on the inside with the first stage; Blue Reclinable Bucket Seat, Blue Quick Release Set Up, Blue Shift Knob. It was envisioned that I would pretty much turn the interior to a mix of Blue and Black but now I’m perplexed because I want to make it OEM with a few tweaks. My Goals: Black Suede Headliner, Black Suede Dash, Black Carpet, Black Reclinable Bucket Seat, Sound System, Interior LED Lighting, EG SI Center Console(Black), “MAYBE” DC2 Rear Seats. As for all the panels I’m in awe at the moment deciding if I want to find the original Gray Panels or if I want to Gut Them Out, problem is I let my kids sit in the back seat and don’t want anything to happen for instance they grab the metal panel and cut themselves. Any Help/Comments on this would be appreciated.
