Okay, if you're not reading dsfeo78's stuff you are doing rizzles fandom wrong.  She does have a habit of labeling her stuff AU, but her divergence from canon is less "I'm gonna change this detail' and more 'I'm going to expand Jane or Maura's background in found and angst riddenly interesting ways".

Seriously, pretty much everything she writes is perfect.  And she just finished another story this morning.  Go.  Read.

Well...

dsfeo78 has started a new story.  All I can say about this is, it's a good thing I'm working nights for the foreseeable future, because when I had 7 AM starts during the last week she was posting her last story, it wasn't pretty.  She'd post around 6 AM, and of course, I couldn't leave until I'd finished the chapter.  I swear the woman was trying to get me a speeding ticket.

I mean, I suppose I could have learned some patience and read the chapters when I got home...

Nah.  That's crazy talk, that is...
