Sunny the Rat

I omitted her tinkerbell pun, and replaced it with the idea of 'Sunny-sideup Eggs!' It's a bit of a stretch, but I felt that since Ivo was no longer named Mr. Tinker, that her name being Belle didnt make sense anymore. I'm hesitant to keep Sunny, since it feels loose, but Ivo's name was partially chosen as Ivo because "the name backwards was ovi, which is plural for egg in Latin, referencing the character's appearance."... so it kinda works? Loose joke. Sorry

She's colored in my best possible attempt to keep Mr. Tinker and Belle's previous color synergy, as they have nearly the exact same colors.

Otherwise I decided to adjust her outfit and main desing to match her concept art, I made her a kangaroo rat, as I recall hearing that she was based on one of those? I can't find a source so maybe i'm crazy. I kept it because her kick is strong and her tail has a similar shape + she was a mouse in concept art.. Close enough :]... I wanted to remove her braids just like her concept art aswell, but I felt that cutting her hair would be too much, so i went for pigtails!

Storywise, I'm not really sure as the loredoc only goes up to SA2, but I did try to come up with something: "i can only see her as being made to combat loneliness and not being told about his family or smth. Her struggle comes from a lack of identity.. she's possibly overprotective and co-dependent towards him (platonically, she sees him as a father ofc. )" though it's a very flimsy Idea, and I'm not too attached to it. An alt idea, that would require a different design, is that maybe he made her as a 'replacement'? 'reminder'? of Maria, who he missed spending time with.? Idk! I think I need more than SA2 for her.

Amber the Beetle, designed specifically after the Baconia Venusta 'Clown Beetle' The clown beetle is a beetle in the family Histeridae family. I chose Histeridae due to the fact that it was found in amber Jewel in comic is the curator of a museum, and aside from her now more important Restoration job, she likes her job at the museum :3 specifically I recall a comic where she's interested in getting a geode for the museum.

I thought choosing a type of beetle that has tie-ins to history would be fun, considering her job! I went for Baconia Venusta, because it was a jewel variant of said beetle, and i wanted to keep her shimmery exoskeleton :3c I chose the swirly glasses solely because I thought they were cute, especially on a history nerd. I think if I was to change her personality, she would just be a bit nerdier. I might exaggerate all her emotions a bit further
