Ok I know most people make allays like- angel fairy things but….weird grubby feathery cat thing…also they would have the same sounds as sylveon me thinks…the little “vwoooo?” Ya get me…also they purr…!1!1

As for vexes I think a vex is just what happens to an allay in extreme survival situations/traumatizing situations (often times isolation from other allays…cough exile cough…)

Also maybe some have horns cause like- WHY NOT!!!

l'manburg language headcanons

okay so i havent sat down and actually created a language for lmanburg but I hc that they have their own language & here are hcs for that language. its a mashup of all the languages that the members speak. i know that a language couldn't really develop in the timeframe so I'm speeding up the development because i want to.

Slang / Phrases

first, it exists withing minecraft, so internet/minecraft lingo and phrases are commonplace (ie: pots, spawn, etc)

l'manburg was born out of conflict, so many phrases and slang are often violent.

because many prolific figures (c!tommy with prime, c!wilbur with being phil's son, c!eret with the herobrine stuff, c!dream with the XD stuff) are heavily religous / associated with religion, religious phrases are also very common.

there are different words for non-canon death, a canon death, and the last canonical death (the one that kills kills you)

Actual Language

l'manburg's language is a mix of british english, french, dutch, spanish, german, latin, and ancient greek. because it is such a new language, some words are the exact same as the English (given that english is the common language) words.

all military/war words have absolutely no english ties (as to provide secrecy). most are a mix of french, latin, and ancient greek (latin and ancient greek comes from c!tommy & c!wilbur, because they were taught by c!techno)

words pertaining nationality, home, or base are a mix of french (l'-), german (-manburg), and dutch (man). Most are french.

words pertaining to money or commerce are dutch & english inspired.

words pertaining to farming are inspired by ancient greek (c!techno again)

words pertaining to government/high authority are often a mix of latin, french, and english (c!wilbur is fucking obsessed with french & latin)

anything related to food is inspired by german and ancient greek.

Context / Timeline

quackity's arrival made spanish inspired words/phrases more abundant.

schlatt made american phrases and spellings very common.

the manburg administration attempted to phase out the language, but was unsuccessful.

new lmanburg caused many more phrases based on death, nature, rot, and renewal.

new lmanburg put a lot of emphasis on philosophical, poetic, descriptive, and physiological words.

words regarding cops, police, and laws are closely tied with negative words such as evil, thief, and traitor.

manburg replaced many religious words and phrases with more neutral alternatives.

the first words created in the new language were military moves and tools.

new lmanburg's descriptive words were often enderian words translated into the latin alphabet (as c!ranboo, the minute man, was the one who used and created them)

lmanburg was often underdeveloped in governmental words pertaining to the running of a country.

the urge to make the dsmp into a living breathing world with cultures and regions and cities and countries and random ass people just living in that fucked up world trying to survive

i have, many thoughts about Las Nevadas specifically. like, a lot a lot. i just want to make it *alive*, its a city in a fake desert with a casino as its centrepiece and lights and restaurants and clubs with night life as its main appeal and you can get lost in the hazy bliss of dimly lit alleys and neon signs

Thinking more about Prime religion worldbuilding and there's this idea in my head of the solstice being a big thing. Basically the idea is that a church is built where netherite is found in the nether (with the cords adjusted to the overworld), and that piece of netherite is placed in the statue of prime with a bunch of windows around it. When the sunlight hits the netherite, it shines all the marks in the netherite against the walls and the people basically interpret this.

It's sort of like. chat talking to you. in a way if you believe it because it's fun. Anyway so of course the solstice would be a big thing because it's the longest day of the year so it's the most sunlight of the year.

Also there's a vision in my head of the people going to the church would wear something that basically hides who they are so that people aren't distracted by the others in there. So say that during the L'Manberg vs Greater SMP war, if there's a truce for the solstice (because most Prime worshipers just take it as an excuse to drink and party and there's some on both sides), it would be interesting for Tommy to go to the church to see the chat's messages, and see there's only like two people actually attending (because. all the other worshipers are partying). Afterwards, they all leave just for Tommy to see that it was him, Dream, and Quackity.

Las nevadas citizens au… imagine the possibilities. Is c!quackity popular with the citizens, or different classes? (Richer dsmp citizens who probably could buy their way into las nevadas citizenship vs poorer average, working class citizens attracted to new job opportunities.) How are human rights in Las Nevadas for the average citizen? How is stuff like pandora’s vault torture kept secret from the general populace?

Ghosts, Revival and The Revive Book's Contents Pt 2: Revival

Revival was the first thing that caught me spiralling down the rabbit hole in the first place

This is far-fetched, but I’ve been thinking about the possibility of reviving someone just having to ‘kill‘ their ghost

I mean with ghostbur, he basically died in the prison and a few minutes later, he came back.

Same seems to have happened with Mexican Dream, except Senior MD was holding a totem

Tommy, however, is definitely a different case. His ghost could have formed within the cell and Dream just revived him then and there but honestly I’m not too sure.

I’ll talk about Jack later, but first I should talk about my ‘theories’ as to how ghosts form, act and function lore-wise on the smp

Let’s first talk about Mexican Dream, as he’s the one who started this little gremlin in my head to start screaming. So as we saw in the Sapnap stream, Mexican Dream was there, and they brought him back to life, or so I think. Because there seems to be a difference in the Wilbur revival and the MD revival, and it’s the Mexican Dream was holding a totem and was ‘revived’ instantly.

So Totems may speed-up the revival process is what I got from that little exchange

Ghostbur, is probably my best bet for confirmation. I mean we legit saw him die, and a few minutes later Wilbur steps up to the scene

But Jack, I wanna talk about Jack a tad bit

So in the first part I had theorised that Ghosts are formed in the overworld whilst the person is limbo. But Jack ‘crawled out of hell’ per se, and managed to revive himself out of spite. Of course, this could cause some mild alterations to his person.

But if this how someone gets revived, wouldn't that simply lessen the impact of the revive book?

Well, we should talk about that a little later
