Hello everyone!

DSTART is opening up artist and scribe applications!!!

“Okay, what’s DSTART?”

DSTART is a project that is trying to codify and adapt the entirety of the Dream SMP into a webcomic format, wherein there is a panel followed by transcripted text. If you have read Homestuck, it is basically just that format.

“Neat! How much time do I have to put into this?”

A bit! We are looking for people who have quite a bit of free time and want to do stuff like this. We will be on average asking you to do 2-4 min bits of transcription done in a week if you are a scribe, and currently there are assignments for artists to nail down the style that ask for lines, coloring, and shading (in a rather simplified style though!).

“Cool, so what do the artists do?”

Artists are in charge of art for the panels!!! We need both foreground and background artists, examples will be provided in the application form.

“What do the scribes do?”

Scribes are given timestamps to transcript (ex: 10:34-13:32)!! There are specific rules when it comes to formatting that you will be given once you actually join the server!!

“Great! Where do I apply? How many applicants are you looking for?”

We are looking for six scribes and ten artists!!! We will be closing applications once we have met that requirement.

a lot of it would be helping us refine the script and deciding what to cut that’s not important or canon

okay if you’re interested in possibly helping me transcribe all of dream smp lore and then make fun illustrations for it, here’s the form :]

(keep in mind i want to try and do a lot of the art myself so artists might be mostly doing backgrounds and whatever characters i can’t draw. it’s really the transcripts i need the most help with)

yes, because DSTART will be done in digital, thus we want digital artists
