So Pallas... I really don’t know much about him yet! He’s a university student, so for age I’d put him at 20? He’s got a scholarship and that’s why he’s able to afford school. And the scholarship offers extra money if he does a summer program helping former alumni with.... whatever... for the summer, and writes a paper on an assigned book. So he’s looking forward to four years of summers spent with weird old professor types! Fun! 

He’s a pretty quiet guy usually, and can come across as a bit standoffish sometimes. But he’s really easy going and it takes a lot to get under his skin. He’s not wildly popular but he tends to be more liked than not. He has a good circle of friends but he isolates himself. He doesn’t want a lot of distractions, he wants to just focus on his school.

He’s going to school for some science. I don’t know what yet oops lol. Something that involves carbon dating, probably? I used to be into science before getting hit with Big Huge Multi-Year Depression Disaster that also coincided with some incidents that messed up my schooling, so I’m excited to use this as motivation to learn more about it!

And DTRT! Okay! I’m not sure what you want to know but I think you might like the main. Her name is Felise Ennio and she’s a self trained cartographer, occassional thief, and a mediocre sniper. Her main asset is her ability to walk through a house and draw out the plans for it, perfectly, from memory. She sells these as a way to make money for the Libellules, although lately she’s been thinking of cutting ties and striking out on her own.

She’s scrappy and gets drunk a lot, and starts a lot of bar fights. She has a “friend” named Odie who follows her around like a lost puppy. He kind of creeps her out but he’ll do almost whatever she says, so she lets him stick around for that reason. (Although to be fair, he IS kind of creepy. But he treats Felise really nice and her reasons for finding him creepy are like... none of the valid ones.)

She was contracted for the job of moving the cargo because of her mapmaking skills. There are no maps of where they’re going, and she’s been brought on to make one so that the people taking the cargo to its location will be able to find their way back out. She’s also there to protect them if need be.

The other contractee is a woman named Melanie Tablot (I’ve been pronouncing that like Tableau although idk if that’s actually how you say it) and she’s from a rival gang, the Vert Viperes, and once shot Felise in the leg. They do not like each other. At all.

This might be spoilers buuut Felise first uncovers that they’re transporting poison, then starts to wonder if it’s all just a rouse, and if what they’re really transporting is the elixir of eternal life.

(Needless to say: she wants that elixir.)

She tells Melanie this, and Melanie thinks she’s crazy and tells her to stop sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong.
