Hello tumblr! Today imma share a cool Dreamtale AU concept that Ive come up with yesterday. Get ready for a serious lore dump >:3

Do you remember how before Nim dies, she makes two little light balls (as shown here, not my art btw) and gives them vessels so they wont die?

Well, I thought to myself, what if they didn’t need vessels to survive, and instead just grew up as those light beings?

And thus, Dreamtale: Spirit Twins was born!

(A concept for the post incident Nightmare:)

While I was making these first drawings, I thought to myself again. Since regular Nightmare dressed up as Sans to blend in when he visits the AUs, then why doesnt this Nightmare dress up as Grillby instead. (Since he looks very similar to him)

And thats all my concept art for now, feel free to ask questions as I’m still trying to think of more lore. Also you have my permission to make fanart, just tag me for credit -w-

Spirit!Dream (Soul)

Here comes another lore drop! (Thanks to @bean-with-a-knife for getting my inspiration up >w<) I’ve decided to drop this one concept I came up with.

Being spirits, both of the twin’s bodies work differently than other monsters. Their forms can change depending on how they’re feeling.

(As shown below)

(Number = the number labeled next to the form)

1. Soul takes the form of a pretty tall masculine adult (with some feminine aspects) He also gains two flowing wings that look similar to Psyches tentacles, but he only has these when he’s in this form. His circular areas inside his body also become more defined.

2. He takes the form of a 12 year old. There isn’t really anything special about this form, its just Soul!

3. He takes the form of a 6 year old, aka the form he had before the apple incident. He is rarely around people when he’s in this form tho, so hardly anyone sees it.

4. Even tho this isn’t really his “original form” (which being the same as his flustered form) Psyche takes the form of a very, VERY tall adult male. And if it wasn’t obvious enough, some people mistake him for Grillby.

5. Nonconsensually, Psyche takes the form of a 15 year old boy. Not even he knows why his form shifted back to it’s original state because of a stupid lava lamp-

6. It is possible that Psyche could have a Sad form, but no one knows for certain. But it is said that his Killer is the only one who would see it…
