I opened my eyes as the alarm clock radio belted out the Dormtainment hit Rap Real Lazy. A smile instantly crossed my face as I thought back six months ago. Dormtainment had been featured at Atlanta's Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash 16. Suddenly Dormtainment was being featured everywhere. Tay and Rome had produced tracks for some of today's biggest artists. Mike was DJing more parties than he knew what to do with. Chaz's business venture had instantly taken off the ground. Cam got more exposure as a graphic artist, and was even asked to help Lady Gaga. And finally Manny decided that he would write a book about Becoming a Better Businessman. Shoot Dawg! My boys were doing amazing. And of course they still make skits... ON THEIR TV SHOW!
As I headed down the steps of the 9 room DTSweeties vacation house in Hawaii, the aroma that filled the air caused my mouth to instantly water. In the kitchen Starr, Desi, and Brook sat at the island that had been the focal point of the huge modernly decorated kitchen. Ivo stood at the stove wearing nothing more than a bikini top and a pair of boy shorts, cooking Grits & Eggs. I laughed, walking over to the counter and taking a glass cup from the cabinet. We were in Hawaii and what Ivo was wearing was actually more clothing than what several other DTSweeties had been wearing during our 3 month stay.
Filling my cup with ice tea, I stole a piece of bacon and sat down just as Shelby and Chelsie came running into the room. Both of them in bathing suits, their hair dripping wet and their eyes filled with mischief. I shook my head. These two together were a combination that sometimes was proven to be unstable. No one knew what they planned when they were together, but knew that their antics caused everyone to laugh.
"OMGOSH ya'll!" Chelsie exclaimed, jumping up and down like a child who was just given a toy they've always wanted. "Ya'll will never believe what we just heard on the radio."
Shelby giggled like a little school girl, before trying her hardest to sneak over and steal a piece of bacon. Ivo caught her, and swatted her hand away from the plate like an annoying fly. "This is for breakfast! If ya'll keep stealing pieces of bacon, we won't have anything to eat." Her eyes zeroed in on me and she pointed her index finger my way. "And don't think I don't know you stole a piece either Nikki."
Unable to deny that I had been caught, I turned my attention to Chelsie, who had her hands rested on her hips. "You heard Dormtainment's "Rap Real Lazy", right?" I asked, enthused.
"That too! So the DJ says that Dormtainment is going to be in Hawaii on one of the local morning shows. They'll only be here for a couple of days, but whatever. I think we need to get in touch with them and have a party here at the house."
All of the girls were jumping up and down. Ivo Big Ol Butt almost knocked over the bacon and she damn near burnt a pancake she had begun to make. Tay would've been pissed! I shook my head once again. I wanted to celebrate with my sisters, however I couldn't. While Dormtainment never forgot about their fans in the past 6 months, I knew they were all busy. They wouldn't have time to Party & Bullshit with us.... would they?
Instead of voicing my concern, I watched and listened as my sisters began discussing what they would wear and the many things we needed to make this party hotter than any party we had while in Hawaii. I mean I understood where they were coming from. It was Dormtainment. Those were the same 6 handsome men who had been the reason why all of us became friends in the 1st place.
Kiui, who had been upstairs the whole time, probably sleeping, rushed into the room. A small, yet noticeable smirk etched on her face. "Guess who I just got off the phone with?" She leaned against the frame of the doorway.
"Who?" everyone sang in union.
Her smile stretched wider, and instantly I knew it had to be a member of Dormtainment. How could it not be? Kiui always had the hook up with the guys. Even before they "blew up" she was tight with them. So what she said next didn't surprise me.
Everyone began to jump up and down! Even I got extra excited. I think my mind went from Tay to Cam. Cam, or CMilli was the youngest member of Dormtainment, and since being introduced to their videos, I developed a huge crush on him. Let's forget the fact that he doesn't even know me, or doesn't know my name like he knows some of the other Sweeties. None of that mattered to me. Cam is the hottest, most adorable DT member... oh wait... this isn't a story about how much I like him, but our vacation.
Kiui laughed at everyone as they expressed their happiness of her talking to Tay. Of course, no one bothered to ask her how long she's had his phone number, or how long he's had hers, but Britt gave Kiui a side eye before taking a sip of her coffee.
