♒ - Family headcanon

It’s difficult to say much of his family due to the fact that NBC has stated plans to rewrite Hannibal’s history — however, from what we do know so far, the doctor’s parents were killed when he was young. He later attended a boarding school in Paris. Family is, in many ways, a foreign concept to him—- but it is one he thinks of quite often. He wishes to recreate one for himself, one with members who think like he does and act like he does. Hannibal yearns for equals, though for now, he’s set his eyes purely upon Will Graham. Abigail Hobbs, as well, was — and still may be — part of that equation.
