my dubia roach colony, two of my males finally grew their wings!!!!!!!! and im pretty sure i have a full grown female or two but i didnt check close enough because MY BABY BOYS ARE BIG NOW!!!!
and in the first pic, the top right egg carton thing, thats one of their final sheds!! aa!!!!!!! im sosososo happy!!!!!

This is just so silly and adorable.
My dubia roaches are in a bioactive enclosure with lots of cork to climb and hide in.
I set that dish on top, completely clean and empty. Now it is their favorite place for roach piles, so they get to keep it.
(Their food dishes are at the bottom of the tub on the right side, full of delicious noms!)

@judgemental-seal submitted: So...In my roach tank I have two sides; the feeding side and the hiding side, I always put food on the feeding side to keep the rest of the tank clean (as possible) but today I decided to put food on the hiding side until I clean the food side and I found out that...I don't think these roaches on the hiding side were coming out to eat when I would put food in their feeding tray because as soon as that food hit the cardboard, box, and paper tube they bolted towards it. Like absolutely zero hesitation to come out, not an antenna twitch, not a hesitant step back, they just booked it toward the food.
Oh no! Poor hungry babes! Very strange they wouldn’t venture over to the other side if they were hungry enough. But at least now you know so you can offer food on both sides. Silly roaches. I love them.

Round 2 of trying to send this, here's 2 years worth of bones
I don't want them to eat too much meat so I might just put future rib bones in peroxide. The two big bones were a Thanksgiving treat for dealing with me for the past 3 years. Some nymphs live in the chicken bone.
I also found out that dubias are actually really picky eaters.
Yeah, definitely don’t want them having too much protein. Adorable though that the nymphs live in the bone though!
Got bored last night, went to see if the spiders in my room needed water, one of the cellars zoomed towards the water spot so I gave it a dubia, hopefully she'll throw out babies cause I had another mass die-off, still haven't found out what's killing them.
Yum, a tasty meal. I love this spider. RIP, lil roach...
