ok finished reading Letters from Laura and Eveline. A lot of interesting (and perhaps incorrect?) information in the academic introduction. For example: the assertion that it is possible that Jack Saul was not a real/singular person, but rather a hand-me-down name used by MaryAnns who found themselves in legal trouble and wanted to use an alias. Which… I haven’t heard before, but the author cites Hyde who I typically trust to the utmost. So I’m curious and suspicious at the same time. There is also an assertion made by the editor that this piece is so absurd in its level of lewdness that it may be a satire on the erotica genre. More to come.
