2007 Terradria George Duboeuf Pays d’Oc 100% Chardonnay From New York to Tokyo, when you see the name George Duboeuf, you think of the Beaujolais right away. I would have said that George only did Beaujolais. As I have said before, I love discovering new things. This 2007 Terradria George Duboeuf is not a Beaujolais but a Pays d’Oc. Duboeuf was able to make the terroir of Pays d’Oc speak with this Chardonnay. Chardonnay is a very adaptable grape varietal and is used all over the world to make amazing wines. This 2007 vintage was like dipping a piece of toast into Winnie the pooh’s honey pot. It would pair well with a nice foie de gras or a strawberry spinach salad with a sweet dressing. On the bottle, it indicates that the robe of this Chardonnay was pale yellow like hay. The bottle we opened had the colour of golden honey with an incredible purity. The 2011 vintage won the title of the Best Chardonnay in the World. Terroir at it’s best.

J’aurais même dit que Duboeuf ne fabriquait que du Beaujolais. Mais comme je l’ai déjà indiqué, j’adore la découverte de nouvelles choses. Ce Terradria George Duboeuf de 2007 n’était pas un Beaujolais mais un Pays d’Oc. Duboeuf était capable de faire parler le terroir du Pays d’Oc avec ce Chardonnay. Le chardonnay est un cépage très adaptable et il est utilisé partout dans le monde pour fabriquer des vins incroyables. Ce Terradria donnait l’impression de tremper du pain grillé dans le pot de miel de Winnie l’ourson. Du foie gras ou de la salade d’épinard et des fraises à sa sauce sucrée seraient idéal pour un accord mets vin. Sur la bouteille, il est indiqué que la robe de ce vin est jaune pâle, comme les blés. La bouteille que nous avons ouverte n’avait rien de tel. La couleur était plutôt jaune foncée comme du miel doré très pur. Le millésime 2011 a été élu Médaille d’Or des Meilleurs Chardonnay du Monde. Le terroir a son excellence.
