So. I got back into art last year, and got a subscription to clip studio paint to try my hand at digital art now that I have a tablet with a pencil, and it's easier to deal with than all the material that tradicional art needs when out and about (I still plan on going back to tradicional at some point but I need to get back in my groove for that).

While figuring out this whole thing with digital art, I also got super into Cegan, mostly due to the absolute beast of a writer that is my dear @duchessonfire . Her fics are out of this world, perfect beyond any adjective that I can think of.

So, of course I had to try my hand at fanart and, consequentially, fanart based out of Duchess's fics.

First was a sort of comparison between two scenes in chapter 10 of Nowhere to Hide, from the saviour!Carl series. I loved the contrast from Negan's first visit to Carl's cell when Carl was holding all the cards (top of the image), to the last one, when Negan was the one back in control (bottom part).

Sorry for Negan's clean face. His beard is a fucking nightmare for me to draw so I took it with this one. 🙈

Next are two from Strawberry Mama! The top one is a 'wild card', aka no specific scene in mind. The bottom one is from the very last scene of chapter 7, when Negan is smoking by the window. In both, please excuse the beard.

So I did a little more art inspired by The cegan queen, @duchessonfire . This time it's for her Dead city!cegan fic 'All that's left after the end of the world'. The whole fic is a masterpiece, it's got my favorite Negan and Carl dynamic of all of duchess's fics, so if I could draw all of it I would, but for now I went with the scene that stood out to me the most. In the last chapter, Negan and Carl have a few clandestine meetings in a scraped car while it's storming, and there they talk, have sex and cuddle. I absolutely love the visual that paints, so I tried to put it to paper but I don't think I succeeded but I also don't currently have the skill to fix what I don't like, so I'm gonna post it as is and hope for the best. After the cut it's the two images by themselves.

Who forgot to add Negan's tattoos???? 🤡💀
