I've been thinking about Erik's whole "encounter" with Death in the tattoo shop. That was Death firing a warning shot right? Like, stay outta the way of my plan or this is what happens. Not that Erik listened or was even paying attention

And the heart branded above his freshly inked DAD tattoo? I took that as Death saying "you stay close/try to help your family, your gonna get burned" aka get origamied in an MRI machine with a wheelchair.
