Hi! Thank you for the ask! I was in the server for The Rerun so I heard about all this mess going down (was not pleasant to wake up to that lol)

Im going to keep my fanart for the fic up for the community that was made around it, possibly with some altered captions. I couldn’t care less about the fanfic itself anymore and it’s status because the friends I made cause of it were very real, the beautiful fanart people made was very real, and I’m going to miss that part. I’ll find new fics, nobody died, gonna go touch grass, it’s not that big of a deal.

Not gonna post anymore about it cause I made my statement and I dont wanna get involved in internet drama too much if I can manage it

So I have this thought.

We know that sinner forms regenerate from injury as long as it’s not from an angelic weapon. This is established fact. However, we do see a few sinners with scars or signs of injury that didn’t regenerate. On non speaking background characters I can chock this up to just design flair or scars from close calls during extermination (ie Alastor’s injury) but…

Well know one of Vox’s antennae is bent and has stayed bent. We know one of Val’s antennae is scraggly like that. I also find it really hard to believe that someone couldn’t get a piercing or a tattoo in hell and have it stay.

But yknow what the common denominator between piercings is that you’re doing it for yourself. It’s something you do because you want to. It’s an injury done intentionally for the purpose of bodily decoration. The intention is fundamentally out of love

In season 2 episode 4, when we see Val fidgeting with Vox’s antennae, there’s the line “I thought you liked it when I—“ while he’s playing with it. To which Vel responds with “TMI Val”

1) okay so the antenna play is totally a sexual thing. Good for them.

2) the implication is definitely that it’s fucked up and bent from Val playing with it, right? Like we all got that implication too

But why would it stay bent then? is the question

Similar to the piercings. The antenna being fucked up like that is from years of on and off wear and tear from someone who loved Vox, whether or not the dumbass wanted to admit it

I can only assume Val’s scraggly antenna is from a similar reasoning, cause it was fine before he met Vox (as we can see in that one photo of the two of them back in the 80s, I dont have it on hand I apologize)

So anyways in conclusion: the little notch I always draw in Alastor’s ear is from Vox biting on it back in the day send post

Hi! Thank you for the question! I'm going to try my best to update the fic weekly, though my college work obviously takes priority. So there isn't a super strict schedule outside of just updating whenever I get a chapter done, though, like I said, aiming for weekly! 🦈
