WAAAAAAAAAY back in the day, I was an eager babe just looking for more ff8 roleplayers and that's when I found you and Jana and Karen. That was the draw in. The stay is the passion you have for your characters, how deep you get into them and our lovely discussions regarding their psychology and the world itself. Q, as are reserved characters, was hard for me to figure out but you've absolutely given her life for me. <3

Limit Break; AAAA thank you!! I often get worried that Quistis is too boring for people because she’s not as energetic. She’s not as outgoing and unafraid of social situations. I just hope that I’m showing enough of her underlying personality alongside her surface level no-nonsense disposition. She’s a practical, but kind and loving person. She also has a really cringy sense of humor (as referenced by the scene where she tries to spook the other members of the party by acting as a haunted suit of armor in the mansion of Winhill). I wish I had more time to write. I really want to keep fleshing her out and throw her into all sorts of situations. Thank you for writing with me and giving me opportunities to explore our characters and thank you for always being down to discuss the game in detail!

Someone is getting his cheek bitten. It's Cloud. Rinoa is biting his cheek. Surrender now if you want to live.

It’s not enough for her to threaten him in her sleep. Oh no, now she has to also attack him when he thinks he’s safe! The sudden feeling of teeth sinking into his cheek makes him wince, scooting away only to bump against Squall’s chest where the man’s fast asleep behind him. Cloud gives a quiet grumble when the sudden bump only results in Squall’s arm draped over his waist, effectively trapping him and leaving him to the sleeping Rinoa’s devices. Not one to fall victim to such an unwarranted attack, he pinches her nose and endures the sting of teeth before air becomes necessary for her and she’s forced to release the abused skin. The smack he earns when she comes to is well worth it, simply sticking his tongue out at her like the mature adult he is. Even if she’ll get payback later, it’s worth it as long as he won this battle~

“Or maybe you’re just impatient.” Tenacity brimmed in spoken words, although his accusation rang all too true as she maintained her distance. Aerith liked to think it wasn’t so much stalling as it was an act of self preservation, but the modality was the same either way. She was biding her time, trying to drag out any hint of acquiescence until the very last second - as if awaiting some stroke of genius to get her out of this precarious situation unscathed.

There were very few things in this world more unsettling than the man, (or was monster more apt?) before her, and even fewer still that she had reason to fear - yet the uncertainty was there now, lingering just under the surface like a festering wound. It was a decay best stamped out swiftly, a weed of doubt that needed to be plucked from the soil before it could begin to choke life from an otherwise thriving bloom. The ancient swallowed, dulcet whispers of ever soothing plant life, calming her enough to herald a little more petulance; the voice of stubborn rebellion spurring her on towards all out defiance. “Perhaps it’s time to work on those virtues, no?”

No, I’m... not from around here.❞ Embarrassment inched it’s way onto his normally fair face, faintly rosy with how easily this guy spotted him and thought to declare him a new arrival. In retrospect, Riku hardly made any attempts at governing himself as an agent upon any world, not even bothering to change his outfit or hair color for the matter. Still--what’s done was done. It’s not as if the other man discovered he was from another world, after all.

          Sheepish as he suddenly was, Riku meandered his posture away from that, standing straight and extending his right arm with his hand open for the other to shake, if he so desired. ❝My name is Riku. You?❞

Comforting Dying S/O Starters

A pained grimace formed on Ultimecia’s face. From the way she defiantly pressed her lips together, one could tell she was trying to stay strong in the face of her excruciating demise--a brave act for the witch those fears had been concealed beneath the bold façade she had put up in life. But even the sturdiest of walls would eventually succumb to time and crumble.

She was no exception to this cruel allegory, in fact her very body begged to crumble away into nothingness. Death to the sorceress is a slow and painful one, but one that still cruelly clung onto life for no other reason than the laws of Hyne. Until she found another to bequeath her accursed powers to, she would never be free of this pain that gripped her. And her face showed it all.

Fate may as well curse her to suffer in this eternal purgatory. Yet somehow in this black void, it had graced her with mercy in the form of this young sorceress. One who--surprisingly--grieved for her.

Ultimecia choked back conflicted tears. She did not want to disappear, yet she wanted the pain to end. She wanted to hate Rinoa for her hand in her demise, yet how could she when she had shed tears for her? To think that anyone would actually grieve for her after all the horrible things she’d done...

Ultimecia reached out a hand and touched the girl’s tear-stained cheek. In spite of the anguish, she still managed to smile weakly at her. “Dry your tears...child...You have no need...to grieve for me...”

Her hand faltered and fell back to her chest. Still wearing a brave face, she then urged, “Leave now...Run away...I do not want you to take...my cursed powers and suffer...as I have...”
