-Painite is the leader of the group and the oldest (and the most vicious). He's VERY bossy.
-His second is the huge and gentle Dioptase, the one helping the youngest and giving them works.
-Crimsonite and Inderite are the youngest and work partners. Crimsonite arrived on the Island 300 years ago, and did not remember his past, but loves winter! Inderite is his fun-loving partner.
-The Duftite Twins are very chaotic, but like to do their work and do whatever Painite or Dioptase tells them to do.
-Botryogen and Voltaite are very cool and love adrenaline works. Botryogen is the coolest gem and Voltaite is the cutest (or, at least, they like to say it)
-Despujolsite is kinda lazy, and he wants to do as Painite does- but he's not very good at his work. So he only works outside the Village, taking away the ice from the windows and streets.
Hmm idk how to caption this. Some old baby. Some baby baby. All of them are babies
Descriptions under the cut~
THAUMASITE:
I drew him a LOT of times uhh i like his colour ok?
His character is not very strong so he always relies on his partner Borazon, that is not only very phisically strong, but also mentally and verbally. And very gentle with the poor scared Thau!
Kosmochlor always gives him the best logs to make a strong, resistant paper for the MANY books that Putnisite writes and Jeremejevite helps to write.
The ones waisting way too much paper are Wulfenite with his crazy experiments, Cuprite, Chalcophyllite and Eosphorite with their drawings and projects and Kupferblau and Carletonite with their maps and discoveries. Hercyinite is the only one trying to not force Thaumasite to work every day and night to make paper for some crazy gems! Thank you Hercy for your consideration.
VATERITE:
Vaterite LOVES animals. he is fascinated by organic life, and what they eat and how they consume their strange energy and the life and death. You won't see this fascination in his perennial poker face, tho.
Vate has aragonite arms and legs, but they're not been added to his body, but a result of the mutation of the instable mineral he's made of, that with the hot water he uses for keeping warm his animals mutated into more dense and hard aragonite. Not a bad thing at all!
On the Mountain Island there are plenty strange animal species, from fishes to amphibians, and a lot of strange enormous birds. Gems learned to use them from Admirabilis, and use some of them to transport things from a part of the Village to another, or to plow the earth, or to fly messages to far away places.
Vaterite selected and breeded certain races of flight and flightless birds for these things, thanks to Abelsonite that farmed their food and Melite that studied their biology.
So, yeah. Vaterite is a proud cowboy.
DUFTITE-ALPHA:
Alpha is the twin brother of Duftite, and has a crystal system fairly different from his brother- and a complete opposite temper. Even if he tries to be edgy and cool, Alpha is actually a very mom-friend type. He's always worried for the thoughtless Dufti, but trusts him enough to let him do his stupid things- what Alpha could do? Stop him? Dufti is way more hard and resistant than him.
It's bad to be the softer twin, when you're "less" than someone that should be exactly like you. Alpha is okay with it, anyway. At least, he says he is...
CROCOITE:
Croco is an orange gem, so he's an idiot by nature. Every orange gem on the Mountain Island is an idiot, it might be something in their chemical formulas, or just their colour. Who knows.
Crocoite is similiar to Padparadscha of the Original Island in his nature. He was born without half of his body, missing half face, half of the torso, an arm and half thigh. They just didnt form. His chemical composition, made in great quantities of chromium, put some ideas in the heads of the other gems, that found this cute "little" (he's actually taller than the average gem) orange thing that could barely move but had way too much energy. They attached to him a big chunk of chromium, and left him in his chamber.
The next day, the metal was already attached to his body, but did not really form the parts he was missing. Croco was controlling himself the metal, making it take whatever shape he wanted. The control Croco has on the chromium is almost disturbing, making him an incredible battle machine.
His skills and his sweet temper made him the perfect partner for the troubled Idocrase.
