In anticipation of his next major release, Shapeshifter, Chicago-based producer Nunca Duerma has turned out several collaborative tracks and remixes since dropping his debut EP, Dilated, on Eliot Lipp’s Old Tacoma Records. The three-track EP served as a catalyst to propel his talents into the ears of thirsty electronic music listeners across the country. Although fans will have to wait a few more months for Shapeshifter, he’s paired up with San Francisco-based producer Duktap, who also has her second album Rinsed in the works, for their latest original collaboration, “Reflections.”

Having already worked alongside each other in the past, their efforts were able to come together seamlessly for “Reflections.” It’s a sensibly wholesome track, rich in smooth pads, nostalgic textures, sultry bedroom synths and percussive undertones that provide for a dark, yet enlightening, three minutes of audio leisure. It has a subtle glide reminiscent of avant-garde jazz with a new age touch, perfect for a film noir score or a soul-searching drive under a star-glazed night sky.

Nunca Duerma and Duktap will be doing on a four-night tour run this December for their Champagne Safari Tour. Their tour will begin in Chicago at The Whistler and continue with several shows throughout Michigan, full list of dates below.
