Sandfly is the daughter of a Hivewing prince, Termite and a Sandwing princess, Flare(Queen Lioness’s sister), the granddaughter of Queen Tarantula, niece of Queen Lioness, and older cousin to Prince Fossil.
She’s a pretty chilled person, laid back, and opened minded. However, has a habit of smoking weeds with her Leafwing girlfriend, Laural. Which annoyed both her parents and her grandmother. She adores her little cousins.
When her mother and aunt came to visit Pantalan to negotiate some agreement with the three Kingdom. Her mother, Flare met an attractive hivewing named Termite who happened to be the son of the Hivewing Queen, Tarantula. They hit it off right away, they would sneak away to get some along time and fooling around like the young dragons their are. Until one night, they were caught doing the thing by Lioness and Tarantula, they were scolded. Lioness felt embarrassed by Flare’s affair with Termite that she force Flare that they’re going back the Sand Kingdom early which distraught Flare and Termite. When Lioness and Flare got back, Flare found out that she was pregnant with an egg which enraged Lioness so much. Lioness then flew back to Pantalan to inform Tarantula about the egg. The Queen was not pleased with the news but let’s it slip because she’s getting old and she needed an heir. So she and Lioness agreed that both Flare and Termite will be wed. So Flare and Termite were reunited and got married in Tarantula Hive. Flare bared a single egg which hatched into a hive and sand hybrid princess to which they named her, Sandfly.
Sandfly grew up with all the luxuries and best education that her grandmother could provide her so she could be a good queen and has loving supportive parents by her side. Over time she grew bored with her royal duties and craved some sort of excitement. Once she was older, her grandmother sent her to Pyrrhian to attend Jade Academy. There, she met her roommate, a female Leafwing, Laurel. Who later became her girlfriend.
