Dulce de Leche Cake
should I learn to make dulce de leche from scratch, or does anyone have cheap brand recommendations other than La Lechera (owned by Nestlé) available in the US? I've tried to make caramel before but failed miserably. We might have Coronado but that's with goat milk and it's thinner (o sea cajeta jajajaja) and I'm looking for repostero duro for alfajores. In the past I've made the cookies from scratch and used store-bought dulce, but Nestlé sucks.
